Hi everyone,

I'm new to motorcycles and wanted to know more about the KLR650 so I googled this great forum!

I never ridden a real motorcycle before... just a scooter back in High School. But I've ridden mountain bikes (not lately though).

My cousin got a GSXR (I think) and when I saw it I got the motorcycle bug! And although I don't see myself riding a sport bike I do day-dream about riding a dual-sport.

After web browsing and researching I've found that the KLR650 seems to be
my best fit... still trying to convince wife and my first born son about me riding a bike though (she ignores me when I start talking about it, baby just smiles at me... he he).

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a web programmer here in Scottsdale, AZ and enjoy driving a lot (72 miles round trip daily commute). Would love to do that on a KLR some day!

Planning to take the MSF intro. class soon and make some friends through this forum.

Welcome to the klr forums, well you are startin out as i did, although I have had several bikes I had no experiance with dual sports so I did a search and wound up here and this is where I made my choice on which bike to get, so just kick back and read as many of the topics as you can and see just what kinda bike the klr is and you will most likely be a rider of one of these soon enough , well if the wife will let ya good luck...

Welcome to the forum and am glad to see your going to do the MSF course. That will get you up and going faster than anything else and make you safer.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.
