Garage
Location ?

I take it you mean Sault Ste. Marie.
Was through there last summer. Stayed in Wawa 2 nights (finally!).
When the dust settles, maybe meet you up for a ride on the island, or one thing I did plan on doing this year, was to head up 144, then make a left turn towards Sultan. Ya, that road.

Yes the Sault. Lots of roads up that way to explore. Really nice up the 129 around to Chapleau and 101 over to Wawa. Hope to do Soo to Wawa through Halfway Haven this summer if things settle down.

welcome from georgia adam. that's a tough question. it's possible to go mild to wild. I chose a set up that few dare to go. motard. I wanted a ultra nimble stripped down klr that can thrash on mountain roads of georgia, north carolina, and tennessee. granted. it's no supermoto, godzilla does ok

Newbie intro

Hello all,

Just joined the forum. I recently purchased a 2006 KLR 650 with a seized up engine that supposedly ran when parked, but with only 569 miles!

I am in Northern Michigan and the weather is just starting to slightly warm up so I can tear into the bike and see what may be the cause.

I am new to KLR's formerly and usually work on Kaw 900 and KZ1000's 73-80 vintage.

Looking forward to learning from the forum!

Hi, Mike here from Canada

Just purchased a 2001 KLR650 C ? (the ''sportier?'' version) with around 35,000km for 1500$CAD or about 1200$USD.

The bike is rufffffff around the edges, no mods, all stock. I just orderer an acerbis front fender, turn signals, etc.

I need;

-More information regarding the klr650c version? i can't seem to find alot of info concerning that model and what fits/what to do
-Do I REALLY have to do the doohickey thing ahah? The ex owner said it has to be done eventually, it's been driven hard for 35,000km with no issue I mean...

I'm open to suggestions, info, anything that can help ! Also I would like to know how to post pictures so you guys can see my ugly ride!
