New member, new to me 1st gen bike in AK

I just got a 2006 with 15k miles and what a beater! It's been hacked and bubba'd, but I hope to bring her back to respectable condition. I'll be lurking here for good info and will probably have a few questions. Thanks for the site!

Get that pony up and running. Alaska just screams KLR country, from what I hear. Post up a rebuild/progress report when you get started.

Thanks all, I will post some pics soon. The bike has a lot of issues and I'm hoping they're all somewhat minor. I've always wanted a KLR. After owning a couple of XT225's (too small) and an XR650L (too tall) I think this is the right sized bike for me.
