Hi from Marlin,TX

First I will admit to a mistake. I sent my introduction several days ago but directly to "PAPER" My BAD!!
So I want to now repost to the Form and new Friends,Sorry!!......................
.................................................. .................................................. ....

Hi! I'm from Central Texas. Just 30 miles south of WACO. Just regestered last week on the Forum. But I must confess I've been visiting the Forum for a long time. I'm 57 and have been riding since I was 14. I have owned A mini-bike,a Vespa, various Honda's,Suzuki's & BMW's. I had been riding a 1988 BMW R100RT for the past 15 yrs. untill 2004. I traded for a new R1150RT in that year.

I have admired the Kawasaki KLR 650 for quite some time. I have been looking for a good used one for several years. In August 2006 I found and bought a near new KLR. A California model. It had 1700 miles and was completely stock. I now have 3800 miles on it. The only changes I've made to the bike are replacing the battery and install a tall windsheild. ( No I haven't done the DOO yet! ) I'm 6'2" and 235lbs. It's been a good bike. I use it 80% of the time for in-town use. Errands and such. Also evening rides in the country and gravel roads. But I really like the BMW when getting on the highway for any kind of distance riding. This Forum is really great! Very helpful, informative and Intertaining (fun). I enjoy all the enformation and the Rider reports and their adventures!

My KLR and I joined today from Abilene

I interested in organized day and weekend rides. When I say organized I mean that those riders will show up if they say they will.
