Hi from the Kootenay's

Hi All,
I've just had my interest sparked by these real cool bikes! I live in the Selkirk mountains of BC and work at a refurbished silver mine 20 minutes from home. About half of the road is dirt and I don't want to put my shiny cruiser over that everyday and the Norton isn't an everyday machine anymore...so I let my mind work for a time and it seems to have lit on KLR!
I like the fact that it's kinda old school, nice and simple, time proven, same design for over 20 years and nice big one lunger, once again, simple.
The thing that surprized me was the way these bikes hold their value. I thought I'd be able to pick an old one up for $5-600.00. Does that happen? Doesn't look like it from what I've seen on the internet.

Anyhow this seems like a good bunch of folks willing to share their knowledge and help out when and how they can. Motorcycle people are the best no matter where you go or what you ride.

Ride safe and have fun!

Up where I work there's about 5 feet of the white stuff. Beautiful powder. I skiied years ago, don't do much of it anymore.
Figured this is a good time to buy. Maybe someone needs the money for ski equipment. LOL

How things in the Peg?
