Little sister...

Just when I thought that I could happily live with just one bike and actually had room in the garage to comfortably work on the C14... I just had to do it. There was this poor '07 KLR that had been abandoned by it's owner when he (the tramp!!!) decided that he "needed" a new KTM... Well, one bike had to go, so there sat the sad KLR. She's got a few dings (mostly from garage and no speed drops) and a whole lot of farkles! The nice folks at Happy Trails gave me great deal on a set of 7 1/2" panniers that are getting installed. The should be ready for me by Wednesday or Thursday. I'll complete the paperwork and get the tag transferred tomorrow.

Coming from a strictly street/pavement orientation, I kinda feel like a fish out of water, but I was getting bored with the same ol' same ol'. I look at this as a chance to expand my horizons and go places that I would NEVER consider going to on my street mounts...

And of course, it ain't real w/o a picture...

Holy moly, I can see the thread hi-jacked into a C14 thing already!!!

Nice stable!

Take care, and ride safe.

Welcome to the forum R2... Once you hit gravel, dirt roads and back roads, you'll forget all about that mundane boring highway. Enjoy..

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Funny you should ask... I think that Little Sister has stuck. She's cute, but spunky enough to kick butt when necessary... And with the cost of fuel going up, I can see me riding her more that I had initially planned on too.

Well the LIL Sis is looken sweet. But be warned the Klr has a habit of making Garage queens out of your other rides. My little greeny has pushed a 04 CRF 250 out... an 02 Kdx out and my precious Triumph 595 out!!! And its not looking so good for the Big Vstrom these days -Breck-
