I got one too. A Red '08 KLR

Finally bought an off-road bike after 18 years on sportbikes. Caught the bug when the weather started to get warmer and marched down to the dealership and drove my '08 KLR home. Was a bit disappointed the next morning when the bike wouldn't start and felt absolutely deflated and surprised. The dealer retrieved the bike and is working on the choke circuit. Anyone have issues like that right off the showroom floor? Still, I am optimistic and look forward to many years of adventure on the backroads of Montana. Cheers!

yeah my buddies 08 does the same thing. My 07 acted up too when new, but I pulled the idle mixture screw plug off of the carb and opened up the mixture screw another 3/4 turn. Not had a problem since. Coincidence?,, maybe, but find it odd I know several who have not done that and they tend to have starting issues sometimes. Problem is my buddy with the 08 is anal about messing with factory stuff, so he just suffers with the problem. Just my 2 cents, am sure someone else might have a better handle on the problem.
