Wink new on KLR

I am new on KLR, it be a great surprise to find you .
I buy a KLR today, it 2000 edition.
And my first question is how, i have to change the boot on the fork.
do a have to take all the fork off?
if some body can't answer me with this, it will be fowderfull.
And sorry if a do some mistake in my writting.

Welcome Sir, Yes you have to take off the forks. You have to find a way to lift your front suspension off the ground. Maybe buy a ATV/bike lift. The KLR650 is really an pretty easy bike to work on and the fork seals are a simple procedure if you have the right tools. Most importantly is the bike lift. Try this link

Enjoy riding your KLR..... maybe the trip through the townships over to Ottawa would probabaly be a lot of fun. Let me know if you have or plan to do it. It's on my list...........

it look to be easy,
i am a technicien, i work on commercial kitchen equipement.
so i think with those information, i well be OK to do the job done.
