Question Just got my 2008 KLR

I picked it up last night and jumped on rt. 303 in northeastern ohio for a 40 mile test ride. I cant say enough goods things about the KLR. Overall its a great bike. I look forward to many long road trips to eastern P.A. and southern Ohio for hunting season. Does any one know how to get the seat off the 2008 model ? the salesman couldnt figure it out even with the help of a mechanic. I dont want to tear anything up trying.

Remove side panels and then there will be a bolt on each side holding the seat on, then lift up from rear and pull backwards from tank....I left the bolts off of my 07 seat so I can get to the battery and fuses without complete removal of the side panels. congrats on the new purchase. Keep us posted on farkles and pics.
