New KLR rider, N. Michigan

Picked up a, new to me, 2000 KLR a couple days ago. Been having a blast with it so far. Retired (hence the screen name), rode an HD for 12 years "on the job". Many dirt bikes/road bikes before I kind of burned out on riding when it was my job. After being retired for 6 years I finally got the urge and a friend offered up the KLR to me. I can't wait to spend time riding and adding some fun accessories to the KLR. It's good to have a breeze back in my face!!

A nice, friendly board here! Looking forward to sharing and learning about a very fun scooter!!

Regards, Bill

Thanks DX and N-Man! A great bunch of information to be gathered here. I just happen to be kind of stuck here at the house for a few days (wife with broken ankle, surgery in the morning) and have had the pleasure of gleaning some very useful stuff here. Now if I can just keep my plastic in my wallet... So many cool things to trick out the KLR.

TC here N-Man, are you below or above the bridge?
