Smile 2007 KLR 650 Black/Grey SLC, UT

Hello All,

Just got a 2007 KLR 650 Black/Grey for a reasonable price. Previous owner layed it down on the right side and put a small dent in the tank and a few scratches on the decal.

I'd like to remove the decals (yellow/black) from both sides of the bike. Any recommendations.

BTW- no mechanical experience.

Previous bike was a Yamaha Virago. Remember those?

I am interested in dual sport rides from the wasatch front to anywhere.

I'd like to attend the tech day I read about, but I no know nothing useful.

The decals are clear coated over from the factory. They can be removed, but then you would need to either repaint or re-clear coat the tank to make it look right.

Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Changed my mind. Now I think if I got the right tank panier and tank bag it would hide previous owners scuff marks. Any suggestions?
