Buying a 1988 KLR-650

Howdy all?

I have recently found a decent 1988 KLR-650 selling for a reasonable price. If the bike is still available Friday, I will be the proud owner of this bike.
My first bike was a Yamaha XT-350. It is a dual sport bike that was absolutely great. I donated it to a refugee from Yugoslavia when it imploded in the 1990s.
I look forward to getting a lot of information from the gurus here.
Thanks and ride safe.

Welcome. What is a reasonable price? Where are you from?

It was actually a 2000 KLR650 with only 7800 miles. The owner has accepted a $1500 offer and I am supposed to go pick it up tomorrow morning.
He was asking for $1750.
The bike runs great and nothing is bent and it runs true. At least that's what the previous owner is telling me.
I think $1500 for a 2000 KLR 650 is more than reasonable. Add to it the low mileage and I think I did pretty well picking up this bike.
It will not be the only bike I have. In fact I have more bikes than I really need:
2008 Honda SilverWing 600
2005 Honda Sabre 1100
2003 Ural Tourist Sidecar Rig
1998 Honda Aero 1100
3 AMF Road Master Mopeds.
Add to it the 2000 KLR 650 and you might understand why my wife is always mad at me any time she opens up the garage door. It feels more like a motorcycle shop than it does a family home. She lets me play with my toys and I let her shop all she wants. I think I won in this marital agreement.

Usually I don't strongly object to comments but mouka said something like, " I have more motorcycles than I need ". We don't need that kind of negativity! ;-)
