From the flat part of Ohio

I bought a 1989 KLR on Saturday & have put 200 miles on it already. The odometer shows 40k, but the guy said the odometer is on it's third bike. I plan on adding hard bags & doing cross country rides in the coming months. Kellys Island, Hocking Hills and maybe St Louis.

I will be looking for a 250 for my wife so she can grow to understand the enjoyment I have been feeling as a result of riding again.

There is a sweet 250 down here for sale.

I saw it out in his yard one day while we were riding a couple of weeks ago. Looks like he still has it for sale. Was posted again 3 days ago.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

Lots of good stuff to see down in the hocking hills area, Old mans cave in particular. The lumberjack festival is supposed to be cool, or the Pawpaw festival down on lake Snowden. The Ridges which is the old mental hospital (1860's) in Athens is worth a quick ride around too. Planty of places to stay now in Athens, and places to eat. ( I'm an OU alum)

Athens!

That is some gorgeous scenery, good trails in Dorr Run and those festivals would make a great day trip!

My daughter has to go to some of the festivals because she was involved in The London Strawberry Festival Pageant.

Consider the Super Sherpa. Electric start, nice looking rims, low front fender. Nice bike.
