Talking Finally got one!

Hi, everyone!

Went and checked out an 07 with 1500K, like new last night and picking it up Thurs.!

Sold my V-Star last Fri. and found this one on craigslist on Sat. only 25 miles away.
I'ts a real cream-puff and has already had first service, including valve adj. Also has factory soft bags, factory stock, tall, and taller Rifle shield on it now.

Had a 88 KLR about 15 yrs. ago, and after taking a short test ride, it all came back to me about how much fun these bikes are.

There are 3 bikes in my garage, but this one has a permanent home. (Hope my XS650 didn't here that!)

This is going to be one FUN summer!

I'll post pics as soon as I can

Thanks!

Jay

Thanks, Gunnie!

My best riding buddy, who I haven't talked to since Thurs. called me last night to tell me he's thinking about selling/trading his C50 to get a KLR.

And that was BEFORE I had a chance to tell him of my recent purchase. I had planned on springing it on him when we met Fri. for an after work ride and I pulled up on my new KLR.

After he told me that, I couldn't hold it in and had to tell him. So we're meeting at the Kaw dealer in that town and checking out the new ones and get a feel for what kind of deal he can get.

We been talking about this D-P thing for a while, now it just might happen. I don't think he could stand for me to have one, and him not!

Well it started here a few years ago with just one.. and now I know personally of 7 so far and 2 of those just added this last month.. .. Some have switched from KTM or Other to the KLR.. One upgraded to newer and his brother bought the old one.. ( only 20K on it I think) .. I have rode for over 30 years .. from rockets to touring only.. and this without a doubt is more fun with all the traffic and goofy drivers out their.. It's just great to get off the pavement and on the dirt if you choose

I had an 88 about 15 yrs. ago., so I'm not a KLR newbie, and remember very well how much fun that bike was!

That was before the "Doohickey" thing was even talked about.

T-Minus 11 hrs. to pick-up!
