Talking Intro

Hi everybody,

I am new to this forum. I am picking up my first klr 650 tomorrow in Nashville. I live in Hattiesburg, Ms some may know of this area as the piney woods. So i may need some advice from all you experts out there in klr land. This is a 1998 model and its gonna need a tune up.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Read Dave's write-up on stuff to avoid; it'll save you grief. http://www.klrforum.com/1987-2007-wr...kes-avoid.html

Give the thing an oil change and some fresh gas, clean and oil the air filter, and ask any questions you like!

Have fun!

Don't thank me, thank Dave! He's the smart one.

Spent a lot of time due north of you, in Forest, during my working days. Came to appreciate the beauty of Mississippi.

Good catfish and found out about fried dill pickles.

HA HA, Thanks Dave! Food and Hospitality is abundant here. Fried dill pickles are a southern treat for sure. I am going to the local fish house tonight called Charlies some of the BEST catfish ever oh and please do not forget the hush puppies.... I should start to work on this bike saturday and new fluids, filters and a battery are first on my list. In hopes that it will not have anything major wrong with it. My brother is giving this bike to me. Yes i am his favorite little sister......its been sitting up a bit, he has 2 other bikes and is fixing to move from Ohio to Chattanooga and lucky me was offered this gem, and of course i said YES!
