Time to say goodbye

I'm selling the KLR, it served its purpose, running the TLH and NFLD. The trip was 8,500Kms and We averaged 800 K's most days with two back to back at 901 and 951Kms. That's a lot of sore bum time.

Originally I was going to keep the KLR to compliment my HD. But after taking an all day adventure riding course, I was given the opportunity to try a BMW GS Ralley. After that, I decided to sell both my bikes and start looking for a GSA.

Just sold my 2014 Limited, I've been riding HD's since 1987, except with a short stint in 2008 when I bought a Victory Vision.

The LTD was too heavy for me when riding two up, I demo'd the new Heritage, but my wife and I are both over 6', it just didn't work even with the tallboy demo seat installed.

The BMW GSA is 580 lbs wet compared to 930 lbs wet for the LTD. I know I'm not comparing apples to apples, but the GSA is still a good long distance bike, that is comfortable running down a gravel road, (no trail riding for me).

Anyway, its been great on this forum, I learned a lot, met some new people and shared some of my experiences. I'll be putting up an ad selling some of my gear in the next couple of weeks.

thanks all and safe riding .

Enjoy the GSA, when you find one to your liking and wishing you good luck in your future travels.

Just because you sell the KLR doesn't mean you can't come read the forum. I sold mine and I still hang around here. Kills some time and I might be able to help someone here. Beats looking at porn all day. There's only so much of that you can take

You going to ride around the world now?

Not that brave, but I've covered all 10 Cdn provinces, and 35 States in the USA.

Now that I'm retired I might be able to knock off the remaining 13 in the lower 48. That is providing I get permission and finances from The Supreme Commander.....

thanks all

Wow you made me worry! I had to flip on CNN and see if we really were down to 13 states! Then I went back and read your post again and I understand now.

I thought we had 57 States per our Immediate Past POTUS!!! But then Cali'd make 60 if they can decide what they want to do over there!!!
