While looking for Valve clearance videos I ran across this forum. I bought the bike 2 months ago to travel back and forth to my son's house to take care of him after his traumatic brain injury in March of 2017. He was hit on his bicycle by a car. He can't walk yet, so I help him with basic stuff and take him to to docotr's visits and physical therapy at Barrow Neurological in Phoenix. (In his car ) The bike runs ok with some backfiring and I just want to make sure all the maintenance is up to date as it has 27,000 miles on it. Haven't worked on motorcycles before so I'm learning as I go.

Welcome Chris,

you may want to read this; http://www.klrforum.com/1987-2007-wr...kes-avoid.html

I'm sorry to hear about your son; I have some close friends who's son was injured in an accident and ended up with significant brain injury....it was aweful, but now he's got a job, drives and lives in his own home.....still not 100% but he's come so far since the accident and gets better every day.

Cheers,
Dave

It's definitely a long process, but he's only 26 so as a young man we are confident he will recover and have the things you mentioned in your post.
Thanks
Chris
