need help please on a oil leak on a new bike

I have a 2018 and it has only around 700 miles on it. I did change the oil and filter around 250ish miles. I have oil dripping on the rear tire area and tire. Its orange oil, cant seem to find where it is coming from.
A box that has 2 hozes on the rear and 1 on the front, seems to be the leaker. Its on the left side rear sitting on the bike, right behind the rear removable plastic cover. My antifreeze is greens and the oil is oil, kinda still dirty, even new. The rear mono shock seems to be clean and dry. It is still under warenty but no luck with a dealer asking questions on the phone. I would rather not go to a dealer if I don't have to.
Im not the best with the forums stuff. So if someone could send a message to a private message to me and also do the normal response would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like its coming from the air box. How much oil are you talking about? Take the right side cover off and remove the black door on the side of the air box and have a look inside.

Orange oil.
I concur with klr4evr. Most likely air filter oil & good that the dealership A & P person took the time to remove the brand new oiled foam air filter and ensure that it was Thoroughly Oiled. (Better too much than too little.) One really should squeeze the excess out to reduce drippage.

Too little oil may allow dust thru. Too much may drip on the forward edge of the rear inner fender, then onto the swingarm & drool clear back to the rear axle before dripping on the floor. The rear axle is directly under that black box evaporative emissions can, correct?

Here are the air box drain locations, https://www.klrforum.com/2008-klr650...positions.html
One could install a second hose & route it down with the others, but do Not cap it.

Anyways, Welcome to the forum! Have you read this yet? https://www.klrforum.com/introductio...kes-avoid.html

Thank you both. I fought a lot fitting the engine crash bars today. I did feel the air filter and it had no oil on my hand. I did not take it out/off. the orange oil is whats confusing me. It drips on the tire and ground. It didn't start to happen till over 300 miles. It is still apart, as im going to upgrade the horn tomorrow and put it back together.

THANY YOU BOTH FOR HELPING.
Totally my fault. I did find the oil leak.
I put a pepper spray in the back of the tool storage place. It leaked and let orange pepper spray oil leak out of the rear box.
( I man up. )
I like to keep it for dogs and animals, on hand wile traveling and camping.

I was interested in knowing the subject and the solution. I'm glad it was an exogenous factor. With the KLR, most of the time It's the Indian, not the arrow. As a saying goes.
Good for you. Now to enjoy the bike.

"Pepper spray squirting out of a KLR? That's a new one!" Tom said irritatingly.
