Barn Find for Me!! Glad to be here

Hello, I just joined the group. I know I will be needing a ton of information. I just found a 2012 KLR 650 with 481 miles. It has been sitting under a cover on a carport for the past 6 years in Phoenix. No Scratches, never crashed, lots of dust, and full tank of fuel. I know the guy who had it and the history of the bike.. I'm really excited to get it going.

List of things to do.
Drain the fuel tank and flush,
Clean Carb
Change oil
Lube the chain and bike
New Tires
New Battery
New Gas
Cross my fingers and Try to start!!! LOL

Any other suggestions before I try to start it let me know.

I would post a pick, but I'm not allowed yet...

Service the air filter. Check all bolts and make sure they're tight.

Absolutely inspect & re-service the oiled foam air filter. Mice have been known to make a nest in the backside that one can not see just by opening the door.

Plus 1 on the ALL bolts & nuts that you can get a wrench on, including cooling hose clamps. And a 1/4 - 1/2 turn on each and every spoke also.
