Hello from Colorado

Hey all, bought a beat up klr as a project and looking forward to getting back on the road. I figured this would be a good place to find some info.

Welcome aboard. What year is the bike? Maybe start a separate thread with your rebuild progress. We love seeing KLR’s being brought back to life.

Thanks for the welcome. It is a 2011 but the head and cams were destroyed so it will be getting a lightly used 2007 motor as a replacement, I am hoping. I think I will start a thread for the rebuild.

Do you know that you will need to transfer the alternator stator, pulse coil & flywheel rotor from the '11 to the '07?
Perfect time to do the doo & T spring while you are in there.
