I think the trick to getting into 6th gear is to push the shift lever in then go up.

You have to pull in the clutch with your right hand and reach down with your left and pull up hard

The problem with that is that then 6th gear feels an awful lot like 5th gear.

I get into sixth just fine... the only problem is, it's the exact same ratio as fifth.
