Old Ladies' Day Out
A group of old women, all of whom would be considered quite ugly, were planning on a trip out from the senior care center to visit some of their favorite antique malls.
Mary insisted on coming along, but none of the other women really liked her and when they weren't ignoring her, they were being mean to her. Finally, the activities coordinator, feeling sorry for Mary, decided that if Mary couldn't go, nobody was going. Grudgingly, the other women consented to Mary going along.
They had made their rounds in the van, all the women making it a point to exclude Mary from any conversation and making her do her shopping alone. When they got back in the van with their treasures, one of the women pulled out an old bottle and was looking it over when out popped a genie.
The genie said, "I will grant one wish to all present!" The women chatted excitedly and finally one said, "I'll go first!" She told the genie, "Make me young and beautiful!" The genie said "Shazam!" and suddenly the old and ugly woman was transformed into a young and beautiful woman.
The others started shoving Mary back, insisting that they go next. Amazed by what they had seen, as they each got their turn, they said, "Make me young and beautiful!"
As this went on, the genie kept looking at Mary, who now seemed content to stay at the end of the line with a huge smile on her face. One by one the women all asked for and were granted the same wish and went from old and ugly to young and beautiful until it was Mary's turn.
She walked up the aisle of the van with a huge smile on her face, winking at all the young and beautiful women who now, in a fit of joy, seemed to have accepted her. "Go for it, Mary!" they shouted.
When Mary got to the genie, he asked, "What is your wish?"
Mary turned around and pointed at all the other women in the van and said, "I wish they were all old and ugly again."
