Lincoln Commercials

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks "WTF?" every time I see one of Matthew McConaughey's weird Lincoln commercials.

Sorry about that. For some reason, I couldn't get that particular video to embed. This one seems to work.

It worked this morning. I guess the copyright bots got it.

Well, copyright laws be damned, at least Lincoln took it all in stride and didn't mind that NBC used original Lincoln material for gain.

I'm sure Lincoln realized the spoof just brought more attention to them, although the only people under 60 I've ever known who drove Lincolns inherited them from their parents, turned them into rolling party machines and wound up destroying them. Same thing with the Buicks Tiger Woods once espoused.

Anyway, if anybody's interested in seeing the commercial, I guess you'll have to look it up on your own.

I guess you have not looked at a Lincoln in the last 5 years. Hybrid's, Twin turbo models. I do agree that the commercial is kind of different.

My Pappy said son you're gonna drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop drivin' that hot rod Lincoln.

It's got eight cylinders, uses 'em all. Got overdrive, just won't stall.

It's got a four-barrel carb and dual exhaust; with four eleven gears you can really get lost.

It's got safety tubes but I ain't scared, brakes are good, tires fair.

rebar and Bill10 like this.
