Wobble

Hello. I'm new to the forum. In fact, this is my first posting on any forum. I joined in order to address your problem as I've recently had very good luck solving the same problem on my bike. I ride a 2000 KLR650 and was having front end wobble at 70mph. Everyone was pointing to the very aggressive knobbies I had recently installed, but I wasn't buying it. I'm wondering whether you have hand guards on your bike? I have aftermarket "bark buster" metal hand guards and had recently installed Cycra plastic guards. As it turns out, the plastic guards catch wind and cause buffeting (and resultant frightening wobble) at higher speeds. I removed the plastic (and left the metal hand guards in place). Problem solved. I don't know whether you have this setup. If so, this is worth a try. Hope this helps. Good luck. Ride safe.

I've been trying to deal with this too on my Gen1.

I do have 50/50 tires on it and I'm sure that is contributing but they were balanced by a tire shop. I'm going to try dynabeads for more exact balance. I'm also going to try to get smaller handguards. I've already tightened the steering bearings (a tiny amount) but it was near perfect so that didn't change anything.
