Ahaaaa, the simplicity of "Old School" engineering!
I still need to weigh mine, for you all. Mostly Stock 1987 -A1.

OK,
1987 KL650-A1. Mostly stock with exception of kickstart kit.

95miles on fuel tank. So 6gal minus 2gal =4 x7lbs per gal=28 lbs.

180 pounds on F. tire.
215 pounds on R. tire.
Equals 395 pounds minus 28 pounds of fuel = 367 pound bike.
Ready to ride to a gas station.

DANG, I shoulda' weighed it with the 15,000 mile front Gripster, instead of the barely used Kenda K270!
It mighta' dipped under 365!!

that all meshes nicely with my calculations....and Id note that you got about 24lbs difference between the gen1 and 2 which is also right around where I think it should be.

cheers,
Dave

Weighed my '03 today on the way home from washing it. 180kg/396lbs on two different scales. That is with about a gallon of fuel in the tank.

fungi,
'Left Click' on his name. Go to public profile. Go to statistics. Go to 'Threads started by".
I think I remember at least a partial thread with other links.
I'll look and add an edit, maybe.
