Grips

I have a 2000 klr and don't have a new one to look at can anyone tell me if the 2008 and new have longer grips I bought Oxford heated grip and they are to long. So I'm thinking of buying the new throttle tube off a new bike. So are they 5in or 41/2in

I went into the garage and measured my grips at 4 3/4" on my 15'.

Just measured again, but this time from the inner throttle tube (about 1/4" in farther than the grip) to the end of the grip (Bar end) and its 5". So it appears my throttle tube is 5" with the grip at 4 3/4". I'm assuming the throttle tube goes all the way to where the bar end starts.

I just looked up the Oxford Heaterz premium heated grips. It appears they are 5.19" and can be trimmed to 4.8". Knowing that, they should fit my 15' just fine.

Oxfords can be trimmed just not to much

Look on the web and find out how much you can cut off.

PS: You'll love them!!!!!!!!
