OK what's the deal with riding the Gap? Just to say you've done it? There's got to be other roads in the area that are similar but without all the traffic and police yes?

Doesn't look inviting to me.

Well after four years running the Garmin 60gps I'd suggest Polecat look into one. Water tight, shock resistant and gets good gps reception. As for doing the GAP, your on a KLR, so don't be afraid to explore the roads with a little gravel and rough spots that those sport bikes whine about. :-)
But the Blue ridge Parkway is cool.

But not as cool as---->

The Gap is really nice.....
As far as the cops... Lets face it, There are a lot of stupid people out there, They are kepping the place nice for the rest of us to still be able to ride the winding roads there....
