Extra Storage

Well I finally figured out the seat mod I was looking for. Now that is easy to access under my seat I'm thinking about cutting through the fender behind the battery and installing a plastic box in the fender. I did this mod on my blackbird and it worked well. I used a food storage container and siliconed it into the fender so i could have storage for things like siphon hose, bunges, etc. The snapon cover keeps out dirt and keeps items in.

I was thinking about going in through the side of the air box for tool storage. That big trash can of an air box needs to be used for something. I did the L mode and saw how much room there was. Maybe cutting a round hole and slipping a pvc pipe in?? I will have to look at some pictures of a KLR and check it out, now that I'm in Iraq..... I can only dream of riding my bike now.

What about under the left side panel? My 08 has a big charcoal cannister sitting there, just vents the vapors I think. Take it out and put in a tube to carry stuff.

You just got there? That blows. Aren't all the troops being pulled out this year?? I was there in 08 and I never want to return.
Never did see a KLR there, now that I think about it.

No KLRs in Mosul I've been looking. I'm here as a contractor this base is going to be here a long time. There are troops headed back but not all. As you know after being here the things you see on the news in the US aren't allways what is really going on. [Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain] lol
