I have a sinus infection and am on antibiotics and all that crap. My head is like a pressure cooker. Can't put a helmet on or it feels like someone is crushing my skull. I keep looking out the window at the bike. It doesn't say anything, but you can tell from it's body language that it is saying, 'suck it up and come ride nancy'. :(

I may have to...I haven't ridden in a LONG time. I know it's different where it snows, but a week is a long time for me. :character00271:

Hey, I never got around to watching that movie you put up. And I can't find it. Can you throw up the link?

Right on. Thanks.

Thanks for the chuckles and advice, guys. I actually feel a lot better after a nap and heating pad and some advil and flexeril. The antibiotics are kicking in.

About half the time I get a cold it turns in to a sinus infection. My Dad, too. They suck. I've flown with them, too. Brutal. A year or two ago I had a doozy. Teeth hurt so bad, I laid on the couch and tried not to move for days. This is one running scared and I'm gonna go for a short ride tomm. :35a:

Copay...for visit, Flash? I think 35. The meds were cheap though.

That's not a bad idea. Its cold and wet here. Not good. I should head east and find the sun.

I have a 5ml bottle of Eucalyptus essential oil $5-ish that I keep in my pocket whenever i am getting a cold. It will last you forever. I waft it under my nose when I feel congested and it helps keep things moving. Breathe it in to a sinus infection and find cheap relief. For prevention, use that, Zicam (zinc), and dayquil/niquil constantly at the first sign of a cold. Our immune system, the lymphatic system, relies on hydration and movement to work effectively. You can cut days off a cold by NOT napping, crashing, or laying around.

That may work for some, but not for me.. If I catch a cold, I sleep through the worst day and within 2 days I'm back to normal.. If I don't get the rest, the cold will drag on for a week or more..

I've been doing this for 20 years and I can knock out a cold from begining to end in 3.5 days.. If I don't get that day of rest, I'm sufferning for 2 weeks..

You're right! I do that too. If and when the dayquil loses to the symptoms, I crash. One day's usually all it takes. And the time-line is close too. I do try to putz around the house a bit and catch a peek at the sky.

I guess my point should be aimed at not doing what my girlfriend is wont to do: Sleep constantly through the run of the cold. And allow the symptoms to cause more issues by not forestalling them with drugs and zinc. She also has a slight deviated septum which may increase chances of infection. Last few colds, using the eucalyptus and otherwise keeping the congestion down and the juices flowing (except at night when we might even add an antihistamine to dry her up and keep crap out of the lungs) she's avoided sinus infections.

Happy to say I feel much better today. I agree about rest. If I can sleep a bunch, I can get on top of most things quicker. Apple Cider Vinegar in water to thin the mucus. Neti pot (I use one every day no matter what).

Thanks for the advice and ribbing guys. Helped a lot. :)

To loose 10 ugly pounds quick…… Cut off your head….:63a:

I have no luck with the diet deals…. If I need to shed some pounds, I drink a sh#t load of water… And I mean a SH#T load…. I am 5.6 and I was 185 pounds, I went down to 150 then I was to thin so I went back up to 160. 160 is perfect for me… Im at like 168 right now… I think water for a few weeks will do the trick……. Works for me.
