Hey, hey noobs...

No insult intended. We've all been there. I talk a lot, but am better with a keyboard than a wrench. But I'm learning. Reason I mention this is there are a lot of new people joining and a lot join and have already made some mistakes or paid the stealership too much money when they make their first post.

Look, ask Mark B4. I started out as dumb as they come. And I haven't gotten all that much better. (I do know there is no such thing as a muffler bearing). I have done all the work on my bike with the help of good friends and a good bit of it by myself.

I sometimes think, what if I had gotten an XR or DR. Or something else...something slick and fancy. And I always think...hell, I wouldn't have met all these wonderful people. I feel very strongly about old slipjoint knives. They take a little effort (two hands). They are simple. They are from a simpler time. So is the KLR.

If you are on here, you got one, or you are gonna get one. Get a manual. Make some friends. Take advantage of the (serious) geniuses on here who offer advice for free.

I love my KLR, but the bike is only about %50 of the reason why...

How often does the blinker fluid need to be checked. I got a 08 and haven't checked it yet, and have been noticing a slight pull to the right on acceleration. Could this be to a misbalance of the fluids on the right to the left?

As long as the fluid isn't contaminated, it doesn't need to be changed..

Pulling to the right?? I'd double check your VIN and make sure it's not a British Commonwealth bike that was sent to a left hand drive country by mistake..
