Usually happens right before they find a 10 year old GS1200 with 110,000 miles on it to replace the KLR. Or put a BMW emblem on the tank of the KLR.

They started making the 1200's in 2005, so they can't be 10 years old...

And my Stich gets just as dirty on my BMW as it does on my KLR.. Usually pretty muddy from boots to knee..

And my GS didn't replace my KLR.. The KLR just doesn't go on 3000 mile rides as well as the GS does..

Stich....

I bought my first Stich in 1987.. I couldn't afford it, but I wanted the protection and I was riding as much of the season as I could.. It was a 2 pc Roadcrafter.. It gathered a serious case of closet shrinkage, and a (smaller) friend of mine is still wearing that suit to this day.. (says something about Stich durability)
I bought my first Darien jacket in 2002 and my Darien pants in 2004.. (both bought used on eBay) Jacket has been replaced with the HiVis but the pants just keep going..
