Klr 600 1986

I have a friend that has a 1986 KLR 600 with 6500 miles and he wants to sell it.
Does anyone have any input on this bike?
I took it for a ride around the block and seems to run fine.

I have a 2011 KLR but would like to get another bike for my friend to ride.
He has 2 atv that we ride and with 2 atv and 2 bike the wife's could ride the atv when we go camping.

I think they were pretty solid bikes and were out to compete with the Honda XL600's and the Yamaha XT600's..

The Gold Wing top box isn't my bag, but it'd be a great spare bike..

It'd look great on a modern sportbike.

That's a pretty clean looking 600! The wing top box is a little unusual... But just think, with the matching side cases you'd be all set for long distance touring!

Just thought of it, the 600's had kickers as well didn't they? Added bonus!

I forgot about that!! My 84 Honda XL600 was kick only, and there were several times it wasn't kick start, but mostly sore foot not start.. The Kawi's were both kick and magic button..
