Stupid

I don't get on here as much as I did. I am unbelievable busy. However, I have put 10k on the klr since I got her last April. Today, I went on a geology trip for a class. I went along and found that a road had been closed on me. So, I thought I would simply cross the creek and pick up on the other side. ....Nope. Managed to get stuck. I finally got it out with the help of a good Samaritan, but I was soaked and got a busted ankle on the way. I don't think I broke it. I can put weight on it, but when I slipped, I felt it pop. You would think at 41 years old, I would be smarter than this. The bike is ok, nothing broken.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. I'd definitely get it checked out. Glad to hear it wasn't worse. Getting stuck really sucks. Good thing somebody was there to help you out. Take it easy on that ankle.

Sounds like a coping mechanism typically used by those who are jealous of those of us who crave adventure and ride off-road. They'll never admit it, but they wish they were you.

Seriously, tho, it's to be expected. It's when they don't give you a hard time that you need to worry....

Ouch! From one with a messed up ankle, I know the pain. I think the KLR's double their weight when mired... Feels like it anyway! Take care of that ankle, it's a very important joint.

I am laughing about it. Might not be in the morning though! I have never felt a joint pop like that. I can't say that I much cared for it. Seriously, I should have taken the long way around.....it would have been shorter.
