Garage
Way too broad of a question, but I'll say $2900

I use kbb.com

Using my zip code...

Trade in: $2,835 Good Condition
Retail: $4,130 Excellent Condition

Average: (2835+4130)/2=$3,482

This assumes 6415 miles. kbb doesn't let you specify motorcycle miles - so they use some predefined default. For an 09 of this size, that is 6415 miles. I think it also assumes standard equipment. Using the average price isn't a perfect valuation, but I think it is a good starting point.

2006 Red KLR 650

Modifications:
1)Doohickey Planned and purchased 2)Aftermarket Grips 3)Grip Heaters 4)Happy Trails Hard Luggage Rack 5)20 mm ammo cases planned soon 6)Aftermarket Exhaust 7)Thermobob 8)Happy Trails Fork Brace 9)Stainless Steel Oil Filter 10)Magnetic Drain Plug

See profile visitors post for details and planned mods.

Depends on what part of the country you are in. Here in PA, you would have a hard time finding an 09 with those miles for less than $3500. All the 2nd gen KLR's I found were $4000 and up.

Thanks for the help! Probably paid a little more @ $3,750 than I wanted but it was through a dealer and they'd done a few things like new tires and fluids etc. Do like the ride so far and looking forward to REALLY liking it.

Didn't know if I wanted them at first...then I found them quite useful. I wanted ammo cans at first instead

Raining On The H D friends...(sorry folks)

I just bought a 09 for 4000, it had 5200 miles and was as clean as an irish spring. But It was pretty much stock and the tires were shot. BUT since
then I added .... new tires (Annakee 2), Eagle mikes fork brace, Acerbis super moto fender, Lexx slip on exhaust, and a hand full of other mods. All within a month.so my expected retail is far fetched, But I just wanted to piss off all my Harley riding friends...... Mission Accomplished...LOL
