Got the same bike in a 2012, just scheduled my 600 mile service. Glad to have a maintenance agreement...That's an issue they need to fix!

what you mean by that? are you having trouble with the bike or the support of the warranty itself with the dealership?

Very cool. You are gonna have fun with it. I just got mine a few weeks ago, almost 400 miles now. It was pretty twitchy when I first started riding it, and me a nervous ninny climbing off a heavy 1300 twin layed down cruiser onto the over size tank of a dirt bike KLR. It is growing on me. I geared it up with a 16t in front, and have lowered the bike for better rideability around town.
Enjoy

Your first few services are expensive if the dealership does them, especially the 600mi service. The dealership recommended changing the oil first at 200mi. Had I not purchased the 3-yr. service agreement the cost would have been $456.68. Granted that included going through the bike and making several adjustments as it was new.

The 600 mi. service is more in depth. Check out your manual and you'll see why.

Congrats though, I love my new KLR.
