Today's ride

I got up early today and rode to my hometown Scottsbluff Nebraska. About 200 miles from me. I figured I'd have lunch at my favorite restaurant and explore a bit. I developed the dreaded death wobble and the engine started acting up a little on the way back. So after 450 miles I thought I'd mess with the bike a little. I ended up adjusting the ride height of the front and tightened the stem bearings. Then discovered my k&n was completely saturated in dirt. Im thinking that was my engine trouble. Then I figured I'd check the spark plug for the heck of it and checked the valves while the tank was off. All good there. Then I through on my new clutch cable. 450 miles of fun and I got a ton of needed work done. Awesome day!

2fastlx, Where are you located? I've lived in SD, WY, and now NE. How were you loaded? Glad you survived the dreaded Wobble. I hope to NEVER experience that. Came close the first time on my county road to my land. But that was rider error and lots of loose gravel on stock tires.

I'm just north of Denver. I had about 20 lbs on the back and 5 to 8 lbs in the tank bag. Pretty light for me. I had just put a brand new d606 on the back with heavy duty tube. After making a few tweaks to ride height air pressure and stem bearings it's a lot better. It was kind of windy too which I think was making things worse. I'm thinking about trimming the front fender now. Lol.
