2012 KLR gas milage.

Well had to switch to reserve on my way home from lunch, went & filled up. I averaged about 44 miles to the gallon with in town driving only hauling my 260lbs butt around. Is that about average for the bike with 450 miles on it? Either way it beats the 8mpg my truck was getting.

All depends on how you ride. I average around 55-57 (240lbs). Typically you hear people averaging from low 40s to high 50s.

That sounds right to me.

I'm in the mid-40s usually, but I like to burn gas.

Do y'all reset the miles every fill up to help know when you're about out? Whew round how many miles you have before switching to reserve?

I get pretty close to 50 mpg regardless of how I ride. Works out to about 220-230 miles before reserve. Yea I reset the trip meter each fill up.

I reset after both my fill ups. Thinking about it, I may have added more fuel than the last time, filled it to the bottom of the neck this time, may have been a bit below on the last fill up.
