I've been unfaithful.

i sat on the new aprilia's sunday. 450/550 two cylinder. i saw the enduro and supermoto in each size. the size of the motor doesn't change the bike, just the motor changes. man, i really want the 550 enduro :co016 . i read somewhere that it is close to 80 horsepower? the price tag is big, really big..like 10k out the door  . the supermoto has a wider swingarm and the cs sprocket is pushed out further to clear the wide rear tire. i had thought that the sm would be the way to go and get some wheels for the dirt tires, but the sm is quite a bit lower. looks like the enduro is the way to go.

the husky 610 was sitting right next to the aprilia enduro. it's actual displacement is 570cc and has been reported to be a little low on power. i had thought that the 610 would be a more comfortable mile eater, but the seat and ergos are on par with the aprilia's.

they had a coupla '07 klr's too. $5200 for the red and $5600 for the black.

let's see,i could sell the klr,willys,F-150,the rest of the rock krawler project and buy an aprilia 550 enduro. makes sense to me? :ev030

My buddy just got the Aprilla 550 and after 220 miles the motor locked up while riding it. He called the dealer who had orignaly had tow my buddies being one of them and the parts manager said the other one did the same thing. I think Aprilla has a problem.

I've heard that the Husky 610 has great power. I think about 50 HP in stock form. Bigdogadventures has one and really likes it. He just got back from a Mexico trip on it. He rode the Trans am trail on it also. See if you can get a test ride on a couple bikes. That way you would know what you were really getting.

Picking up a masterlink.....Well uh... I can't help you there. Thats what gets people in trouble though. Go in to get something cheap and end up going home on a new bike.

I also love the Huskys. The shop nearest me has darn cheap prices on em' too. One can get the 610 husky cheaper than a YamahaWR450... I guess Huskys don't sell real well out here in Cali, which is a serious issue that keeps me from buying one.

The main thing that has keep me from buying one is parts availability... And dealerships are few and far between...
And as for the Aprilia... the same problems apply. And seizing engines is not good either.

I'm pretty much sold on the WR450 from Yami... but at almost $8,000, for a dirt bike... the wife might not like it too much. Just try at justify that purchase!

By the way, I don't think Huskys are made in Sweden anymore.. Anyone know where they are made now?

A buddy went into a Ford Dealer to buy a new Ranger for $9000 and came out with a $45K truck, a seven year loan and a divorce.

Hi my name is ham! and I'm a motorcycle-holic.

There is a good reason I refrain from visiting dealerships. Them new cycles sitting there looking so sad and forlorn, wishing someone would take them home. What can you do? Start the whole budget realignment, figure which things are not needed (wifes stuff mainly  ) and try to come up with ways to get them cycles out of there. Nope, it just doesn't do for me to see new motorcycles. I am weak. I lack self control. I cannot feed the addiction.

But boy howdy, there sure is some cool hardware coming out! The new dual sport bikes keep getting better. The KLX250 really appeals to me. Cheap, light, easy to hop up, green. I wonder what my wife is willing to give up buying?
