Ride to Topeka tonight from Kansas City (75 miles)...

...then ride back at 4 in the morning when it will be in the 20's? It's very nice out NOW. In the upper 40's great riding weather.

I usually ride when I go to visit my GF. I can take cold as I ride in December sometimes. Just that going 80mpg for 1.18435 hours straight will test me. I have plenty of gear, none of that fancy electric warming gear . Still it gets cooooold.

I'll save a whopping $11 (damn near a 30 pack ninja) over driving my comfy Tacoma with a heater and my dog. Don;t forget the peanut butter

If it's any consolation, I'll be riding home at eleven PM tonight on my KLR.

Of course, I only have a mile & 1/2 to go.

And I will have the full suit on!

Hey, I rode my KLR thru there this summer. It was a 106 degrees with a 30 MPH crosswind. You can handle the cool weather so go for it. To be honest though, if it were me I'd be driving my T100 Toy. Don't like riding in below freezing temps these days.

More than likely I will take the easy way out and take the truck as well. No need to be a hero

I've still been riding about 20 miles in the mornings. I haven't got too cold yet. I think the breaking factor would be the distance.

4:00 in the morning would be freaking tough to do.

I saw you compromise and meet over at the Super 8 in Lawrence.
