Sharing GPS routes

I think many of us have routes we have designed, tracks we have logged which translates into experience and fun we can share with our fellow riders. How many of you think we need a forum dedicated to GPS data that we can share? Not only does it give us opportunity to learn from each other it also allows us to check out your latest ride vicariously!
Lets speak up and if it is a popular idea maybe the powers that be can get something in the works...

I think we should have a sub-forum for GPS stuff and for regional routes and tracks.

We also need to be able to attached files in a .gpx format.

Tom,
How hard could it be to add .gpx files to their list of allowed extensions? I think a lot of us would like to trade GPS data, even from opposite coasts. I would love to get a route from the right coast, open it in BaseCamp and convert to Google Earth and take a virtual ride!

It can be done. The V-Bulletin software allows the admin to specify what file types can be attached and how large the files can be.

Right now the only thing you can do is attach them as a zipped file, which is a pain in the tuhkus.

Maybe admin will catch wind and build us a forum. I would look forward to building a database of routes and tracks from everywhere!
