5 mins. New bike.

I don't wash my bike often. It sits outside. I have no hose. Went to my MIL's recently and decided to use her hose. Did my usual, spray - wipe half-heartedly with a soapy shop rag - rinse.

My mother in law asked if I wanted windex. I said, sure, I'd love some for my face shield, but I don't look through the windshield. Then I got bored. Then I got the windex. I cleaned all the lights and reflectors. Windshield. Mirrors. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER! Now, it looked nice, but I wasn't too impressed. Whatever.

THEN I RODE HOME. Wow, the part of the bike I can see looks brand new again. I had no idea how dirty my gauges were. Do yourself a favor. I felt like I stole a new bike on the ride home.

I washed mine once, didn't stay washed long so I gave up on that.

I love to ride, shoot and eat, what else is there at 60?

I had a friend who washed his KLR once. Sad story.

Nothing good can come of it.

Is your MIL Greek? You know, Windex...from that movie...

Nah, she's Irish. I don't plan on stepping up my washing regime, but I DO plan on getting some windex for the control panel.
