Doohickey Tools?

Ok, I ordered a bunch of stuff from KLR650.com last night. Since they were out of the complete package of the doohickey with gaskets and tools, I did at least order the doohickey and the springs. Does anyone in or around Kentucky have some loaners or want to sell their tools? I also ordered the progressive springs and the subframe bolt upgrade kit and a few numerous other things. Looks like I may be busy for a day or two !!

I also stopped in at the dealer yesterday and ordered the new 08 KLR tail pack. I love the looks of it and the new side bags.

2008 DL650 VStrom Yellow and Black
Previous ride was a 2007 KLR Black/Silver, I miss it..
Looking to get back into KLR's sometime soon.

I wish I had seen this post yesterday. I just came through Richmond today, and I have the tools. I'm in Middlesboro for a few more days, then I'll be spending a few days around Lexington, then off to the left coast.
I'll send you a PM with my phone #.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Doo Tools

DX, I live in Phx. AZ, area and just sent/loaned my "DOO" tools out to one of our fellow riders in Arkansas this morning. Send me a P.M. and we can work out the details. I think I can hook up with him to forward the tools to you when he is done with them. He should be receiving them this Friday or Saturday.

Let me know.

Thanks Bill

Wasn't me, but wouldn't mind watching/assisting in the operation if not too distant. My '05 had already been done by the PO.

Don't agree with you at all but welcome. If you haven't heard of broken doo's you're probably deaf.

im not saying it doesnt happen i just havent heard of one in north ga, maybe because everyone here replaces theirs before they break, ive had 2 klrs the first with 70000 the second has 19000 and neither has given me trouble, is it possible that people are over tightening the bolt and crushing the DOO?

The Doo

Yup, that be the one. Saw it first hand myself. Josbek made the incision on the left side of the left side of his red KLR, and there it was all broken in two. It does happen.
