FIXED: Bike won't start in gear no matter what I do.

This means the clutch lockout is messed up, right?

I squeeze the clutch but it still won't start until I put it in neutral (which sucks big time seeing as how I just bought the damn thing!).
Once in neurtal it starts without squeezing the clutch lever.

When I took it to the dealer (three days after I gave them $6,000 for it) they wouldn't look at it on the spot, but said I could come back on Monday.

Great customer service there. I buy the bike, it has a problem straight off the showroom floor, and they can't take a quick look at it???

I thought of that

I've been thinking of doing just that, but lost my Marknet links to the instructions.

Say, maybe if I do a search for Marknet.com... There's an idea.

Can't remember if I mentioned it to you specifically in another post or not, but I also converted the fuses under the seat to circuit breakers. You don't have to change those out when they trip, you just shut off the key and they reset. The only one I have left to do is the fan fuse, and I need to find a good weather proof single post switch to push and break the circuit to reset the breaker.

it is very easy to take appart and clean, that is what I did. I would prefer to have the feature but to each their own.

Yeah, the bike's still under warranty so I don't really want to mess with it right now. I'm taking it into the dealer this morning to have them take a look (for free).

No, and get this... The service manager tried to convince me that some bikes *aren't supposed to start in gear*. He backed off when I pointed out that if that was the case the bike in question wouldn't have a clutch lockout switch installed.

They said they'd order me a switch and install it under warranty. They didn't, however, say when this was going to happen.
