The trip to TN

OK, I finally got all the pictures in order and all the text on them. I am doing what KLRless did and put them into a montage with music. Soon as it gets uploaded, I'll post the address for the video. Yeah I could have done better at taking more pictures, but most of the time, I just wanted to ride and not get off the bike to shoot some pictures. I'll do better next time. My hat is off to those that have the ability to make a great story with pictures, I am not that artistic. So anyway, the trip went off without any problems. We did get to see one of those Semi's rolled over on the dragon. As a matter of fact they shut the road down about an hour after we had made it thru. We met some great local people down there, that helped show us some of the back roads and gravel roads. We just did not have enough time to go play like I wanted too. If anyone is going down that way soon I suggest purchasing 'National Geographic Maps #781 and 784. These maps show all park service roads and gates, plus the are topographic. I have some ordered now. Mark Redbond at Cherohala cycle rental is a man with a wealth of info for the back roads and trails. He rents out KLR's. You should see how the bikes get treated, yet they continue running without any major issues. He loved the looks of the Avon Gripsters on our bikes and he was not overly impressed with the kenda's due to poor tread life. We discussed doing the doo, and he said he would more than likely be doing his whole fleet this winter in the off months. He mostly has 05' and some 06's. Not much else I can say that the video can't. Leave comments and questions and I will do my best to respond. Oh yeah, we road I-75 back the whole way!!! 4 hours on a KLR on a super highway is not my idea of fun....LOL.

MAN!!! if that is your first try at a youtube, I don't see where there is room for improvement. GREAT PICS, and looks like a GREAT RIDE as well. After seeing the pics from the Cove, it really makes me want to get down there to ride the "Red Mule". I have always said that if God could stick me anywhere that I have seen so far in my life, he could stick me in Cades Cove, and I could die a happy man. Oh yea, I liked the song too, but I don't know who it was, could you help me please.

Shooter Jennings - Gone To Carolina

Waylon Jennings' son.

The ride was awesome. I think next time we're gonna try to stay for a few days and hit all the back roads we can find. It is nice being in a tourist hot spot and be the only ones around and actually enjoying nature without cars waiting for you to move on.

Now if you rode I-75 back the "whole" way how did I see you on 25???????????????
Or did I see another red KLR followed by a black KLR Thursday afternoon/evening?
I can't wait to see the vid but I have some other things to take care of first.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

LOL, I guess that was a little misleading. We did hit 25 at Renfro Valley. If you happened to notice we weren't letting any grass grow under our tires....hahahahaha, All i can remember is seeing a blur of what looked like 3 klrs, and I assume Marcia's bike heading south. The semi's were just absolutely blasting us with air, and Frank and I had taken as much as we could stand. Who were the other two, anyone from here at the forum?

Had to add 3 or 4 pics to the video. Found some from a website that takes pics as you go by on the Dragon. It is updated.
