can any one tell me what KLR REALLY stands for????
are you sure it's 1 down and 4 up???

That question has been ask before and everyone has their own version of what it stands for. I don't think anyone really knows.


It is just the letters Kawasaki put on it. If you look it up on the parts book it lists it as a KL 650.

thanks daddyjoe. i wonder if anyone has ever made a list of acronyms for KLR's? might be fun. ha ha ha. i know from personal experience it might mean "Kills Little Rabbits" ... had a large jack hit my rt. leg 4 hours after i bought the bike and broke it in 2 places. but, "killer" never went down and got me to the emergency room.
are you sure it's 1 down and 4 up???

Favorite one I've seen so far is Kinky Little Redhead. Only applies to the red ones, though. Also, Kawasaki Land Rover.
