The End of an Era.......

Sorry guys but I sold both the KLR's yesterday................... We had 2 of em

I'll still stop by to comment now and then but I no longer have the bikes. I've been riding motorcycles for 48 years and have had many a cool experience.

From 1981 - 1988 I rode several touring bikes through 47 states and 9 Provinces of Canada on fishing / camping trips. The longest ride was exactly 11,772 miles and I was gone almost 6 weeks.

When I was a kid I was a member of AMA District 6 and ran open class Moto X for a few seasons. I never was good enough to be a pro but on some tracks just finishing takes a good ride.

I've been living in Alaska for ten years now and although I've been a fly fisherman for......... well for a long time I just began guiding three years ago. I've built up a camp and a business and hardly ever ride a motorcycle anymore. I have a bunch of boats and rafts and am on the water from ice out to freeze up every year. So........ the KLR is gone.

It's been a heck of a ride fellas, if you want to visit my website to see what I have going on, just Google 'Fishing with Ard Stetts' and for God's sake leave a comment on the blog articles, there are some good informative entries there.

Thanks for having me in the group all these years,

Ard Stetts

Hey guys,

Thanks, I'm subscribed to the thread so I get an e-mail when people post. I'll keep up to hear from Tom and Dan and some others too. Since Alaska is a prime destination for many rides maybe I'll become a business sponsor here. I'm able to outfit as well as run a guiding service. One of the things I do is I have a small bunch of the Mokai ES Kape water craft and I take small groups on remote river and creek trips where you drive your own boat. These are Mokai; http://www.mokai.com/ click on the Mokai ES kape to see the models I have for use. They are very cool little boats, like a KLR for water.

Definitely stay in touch, bud. I understand your decision. And, somehow, I'm going to make it up there to fish.

Best of luck, brother. I'll be around. And thanks by the way, for your little scheme with Mr. Tom Schmitz. You should have seen the smile on my face.

Hi Dan,

I'll post to the off Topic threads with stuff about the seasons here. Did you try typing the Fishing With Ard Stetts thing into Google?

You have a good friend there in Tom,
