Super Hot seat area on my KLR

I just got my KLR a couple of weeks ago and I have a major problem. After riding just long enough for my bike to reach it's normal operating temperature, my seat starts getting very hot. So hot, in fact, that after 10 minutes or so my pants are soaked with sweat. I can feel LOTS of hot air blowing out from both sides of the bike right under the seat. I don't think that there is an exhaust leak. All i know is that unless it's below 50 degrees outside it is almost intolerable. Would someone please help me understand this problem??????

Never heard of that. If you have an aftermarket pipe "maybe" the header is a little out of position. This one I can't figure out.

remove the seat, look at the underside, see if any thing looks amiss, check the wiring there too,, i wouldnt think a short would cause that much heat, without fire and a cooked off battery or something , but check it out anyway,, let us know what you find, good luck

Check the muffler for split along the seam. A buddys did that and melted a huge hole in the airbox.

After further investigation i discovered a small device under the seat which looks like a small radiator. My guess is that it is a seat warmer. But I still feel a lot of hot air blowing from the engine, I have decided that it must be normal running heat as the temp. gauge seems to be accurate...

Could we have a picture of that, please???

I interest is peaked and I gotta see this, cuz if it's a seat warmer I would like more info on it, as would others here. I run an electric vest, but more warmth on cool nights would be wonderful!!
