Colorado dealer

Today as I was being ignored by the service manager of a multi line European bike dealer. I was reminded about how great MotoAdventure in Loveland Colorado is. This is a small dealer that bends over backward to make there customers feel at home. This is a dealer that understands that if you take care of your customers they will be back.

I am still amazed, especially in a down economy, how many businesses do not provide great service. I think most people just appreciate honesty and a sincere effort to provide outstanding service.

What many businesses do not realize is if they take care of the customer the customer will return. For many of us it is not the cost of the product but great service that brings us back.

Yup! I've noticed that in both motorcycle and car dealerships... If only the service manager's treated you as well as the salesmen! Lol, it's almost like all the dealerships are a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde...

So, if you find a good dealer be sure to support them and spread the word

Yes this is very true. That is one of the reasons that MotoAdventure is so good they do not forget about the customer after the sale.

What annoys me the most about service departments is that they think you know nothing and that they can do no wrong. Even when they mess up you pay. What's with that?

This is the exact problem that I am having with my 2014 BMW K1600GTL Exclusive. They kept the bike for a month and did a total amount of testing of 2 miles for a heat problem. Than gave the bike back to me only to have it fail the first ride in hot weather.
The BMW is now 3 months old and has 1133 miles on the odometer. It has been in the shop 4 times for 3 problems that the dealer refuses to fix. This time it is in the shop for a minimum of a week before they have time to even look at the bike.

My niece had the engine replaced in her vehicle. When she picked it up and drove it she took it right back because of a clunking sound. They kept it another week and then said it was fixed. She drove it and the clunking was still there. Then the front wheel came off of the vehicle on the highway. They refused to take responsibility for the damages and she can't afford a lawyer.

In the States we have many lawyers who would take a case like that on contingency. I do not know about your laws and how your lawyers work.

I would be more than happy to help move some of those lawyers up to Canada, whether help is needed rounding them up and getting them into the boxcars, whatever.

On a more serious note, klr4evr, I hope your daughter is able to pursue some recourse against said shop. That's not just an "injustice," that's a serious safety issue.
