It's the end guys

Found a good deal on a 2012 V Strom 650. I've been wanting one for quite awhile but didn't want to buck up for a new one.

Time to move on from my KLR. It's been a good relationship but I've got to make a clean break, no looking back, sniff...

As per the spousal agreement I'm selling my KLR for Strom farkelage. Not sure how much to ask for an 08 with 60K+ miles though!

I've enjoyed my time on this forum and will be checking in once and awhile.

Good luck with your new ride, Spec! It was great to meet you at my sister's place about 18 months ago. Too bad my nephew is out of state for awhile, if the price was right, he'd probably be interested in your KLR. He won't be back for another 11 weeks or so - he's off getting some training taken care of.

Good luck and enjoy the new ride, Spec. I hope it serves you as admirably as that KLR did. Thanks for the advice, info and laughs.

You'll be missed, Spec!

Yet, bikes come and go into and out of our lives all the time.

Here's wishing you many happy and safe miles on your new, and eminently worthy, steed!

Good luck with your new ride. I have been a full circle. I bought a used KLR than moved up to a Triumph Tiger 800XC and from there to a BMW R1200GSW. I am now back to a 2014 KLR New Edition.

Hope you enjoy the v-Strom, I hear it is a nice bike. Regarding price for the KLR, here in Newfoundland you would get between 3-4K for that vintage and usage, not sure about your neck of the woods. Good luck with the sale and have fun...

New bike

Let us know how you think the V-Strom compares to the KLR in different aspects of riding. Off road, comfort, power delivery, etc.
