question about my new to me klr

So i just bought a used 2013 klr 650 with just over 11k miles on it. Runs and rides good. However, i noticed that the shift lever has been grinding into the engine case next to it. Is this normal or is it something i should be worried about? Unfortunately I can't post a picture yet to show exactly what it looks like.

I'm guessing the lever's bent inwards. You should be able to just bend it out away from the case so it won't rub on it anymore.

Can you tell if it's the stock lever?

If you PM me a picture link I will add it to the original post.

In any case you want to correct this. You don't want to wear a hole in your engine case.

It's not stock, it is MSR. I think i could bend it at work and hopefully that would fix it.
